As a part of UACF’s
mission and vision, our goal is to embrace and expand the grass root voice
of families and youth in their communities regarding children’s mental
health. UACF is working to organize and
empower the family movement in children’s mental health. We expect the
family movement to improve mental health care treatment and outcomes.
Helping like-minded organizations is an important part of taking the family
movement to the next level: transformation, community networking and
strategic partnerships. The
development of affiliations throughout the state is UACF’s approach to such
a goal.
Teaming up with UACF
provides community based organizations with access to technical assistance
and training tools, help to develop resources, and strengthen ability to
influence public policy. Together we will have an ongoing opportunity to
share ideas, issues and resources in ways neither of us could do effectively
alone.
