If you’re 180 days out from discharging from the military, you can take advantage of the Pre-Discharge Program. Apply for disability compensation, Vocational Rehabilitation, home loan guarantees and other benefits. One component of this program is called Benefits Delivery at Discharge (BDD). Download a fact sheet about BDD or watch this video. Another part of the Pre-Discharge Program is Quick Start, which allows Service Members to submit an application for service-connected compensation while still on active duty.

Wounded Warrior Project Peer Mentoring
Provides recovering wounded warriors one-on-one friendships with peer mentors; fellow wounded warriors further along in the recovery process. Peer mentors are also available to visit with warriors; families, if requested, to serve as role models, helping them visualize what can be achieved through rehabilitation and hard work.


Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Packs
Help a hero in need by purchasing a WWP Pack that will be presented to an injured Service Member recuperating in a military hospital. WWP Packs are filled with essential care and comfort items such as clothing, toiletries, playing cards and more.


Soldier Ride
Provides adaptive cycling opportunities across the country to help wounded warriors restore their physical and emotional well-being. Find information on upcoming rides around the country and how to get involved. Wounded Warrior Project provides equipment and support to participating injured Service Members at no cost to the warrior.


K9 Soldiers
Provides support to military working dogs and their handlers.

 

The Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (DCoE) has announced its 2011 webinar series. These webinars cover a variety of topics from personal and emotional subjects like compassion fatigue and holidays away from families, to technical and research-focused subjects like indirect neurotrauma and neuropathophysiology of mild traumatic brain injury.
