Spirit of ExCEL Winner: Poppy Johal Poppy Johal has been selected to receive the UACF Spirit of ExCEL Award for this quarter. Poppy is UACF’s Chief Officer of Strategic Planning. However, Poppy became our bookkeeper to fill in for staff that was out on maternity leave. It is that kind of willingness and ability to step in and learn a new job that is typical of Poppy’s work at UACF. Poppy keeps things running smoothly. She knows what needs to be done, does her part and makes sure everyone sticks to their deadlines. Her professionalism and pleasant demeanor make Poppy a great co-worker. Always positive, Poppy has a kind word whenever you need it. She has a sincere spirit that is a delight to be around. Poppy’s attention to detail makes her the ideal person to set up meetings for the Board of Directors and keep their minutes. Whenever UACF has a meeting or celebration, Poppy is the first one to get things set up and the first one to get things cleaned up.
